A single ticket has won a $338.3m US Powerball lottery jackpot
Sold in New Jersey, the winning ticket matched all six numbers in Saturday night’s draw to scoop the sixth largest lottery jackpot in US history.
Details of exactly where the ticket was purchased and whether anyone has come forward are set to be released by the New Jersey Lottery later on Monday.
Thirteen other tickets each won $1m in the draw by matching all but the final Powerball number.
The largest ever Powerball jackpot was the $587.5m won back in November, with the prize shared between two winning tickets in Missouri and Arizona.
The biggest jackpot won by a single ticket was the $365m scooped by a syndicate in Nebraska in February 2006.
The Powerball lottery is played in 42 states nationwide.
